Spud is quite exceptional in that as a young pup he was diagnosed as having an extra vertebrae in his lower spine which made him quite lame; with hydrotherapy and plenty of gentle exercise Spud's condition is now manageable; he has been competing at flyball for the past 4 years and has gained several awards. He's certainly not the fastest dog on the team but he's a steady sub 5 second dog and always reliable!

Spud is affectionately known as 'Tigger' because he's so bouncy...he has a habit of headbutting team members as a form of greeting!!

Spud was diagnosed with arthritis in his elbows and wrists so just puts in an occasional appearance in the ring, he shoud be running a bit more this summer over 9" jumps in the same team as Teal.
